Medieval Knight WIP

Hello everyone, I would like to share some of my work so far with this character. The idea is to make a very realistic looking knight wearing a suit of Maximillian style armor. I wanted to do this because I needed something practice without having to make a concept that was too out there, or copying something that is not based on the real world, so I could find real life references for exactly what I am trying to do. I am doing this whilst following a course from Kris Kosta, in order to get the face and hair to look of a similar quality, and it has really helped me improve. Part of the appeal of this is learning to observe and by deciding to make everything manually, instead of relying on texture xyz or scan data for the colors or the mesh.  I am currently done with the face, and I will continue to build the armor and eventually the hair as well. 




Lady Maria WIP

For my next piece I wanted to make Lady Maria from Bloodborne, and I wanted to share some of my Zbrush process here. At this stage I want to tweak the face a bit, and detail it more. Then after I have to unwrap everything and begin the texturing/lookdev stage. Making these weapons was lot of work, but I hope that with textures they will look really cool. I also have to create the tiling ornate patterns for the coat and tunic. Then I can apply those as a height map in substance painter.
